The Anton Schneider 8 day leaf & bird cuckoo clock must be wound only once per week. These cuckoo clocks use the German "Regula" #34, 8 day cuckoo clock movement which is very reliable and service friendly.
8 Day cuckoo clocks are that of a black forest leaf & bird style clock and may or may not come with animated figurines as indicated respectively. Most are ornate clocks that make great gifts or decorative clocks that are quite functional. All cuckoo clocks are measured from the very top-most part of the clock to the bottom-most part of the clock itself. It does not include the weights or pendulum which will hang down another 5.5" to 6" in the fully wound position.
All 8 day cuckoo clocks come with a night shut-off switch as a lever on the left side of the cuckoo clock. The chains are produced with a tarnish-proof material and a fully synthetic, low viscosity oil for long periods before re-oiling.
